Mema Solidarity Community Center was founded to meet the urgent needs of refugees and marginalized communities in Nyarugasu Camp, Tanzania. We believe every person deserves access to quality education, economic opportunity, and a healthy environment.
Our locally led approach means programs are designed by and for the communities they serve. This creates lasting impact that goes far beyond temporary aid.

2015
Founded to respond to the growing refugee crisis in East Africa with location in Nyarugasu, Tanzania
2017
Opened our first education center inside Nyarugasu camp in Tanzania.

Reached more than 20,000 lives across 12 communities in East Africa.
